Constructed of recycled industrial pellets, these beds have a reservoir designed to hold water, which the plants can wick up through their roots. Fabulous for saving water and keeping water up to your plants in your absence!
I have been lucky enough to have previewed this year’s wicking beds and they are looking fabulous.
Themes include: bee attracting plants, weedy plants, herbs, edible and medicinal succulents, companion planting for fruit trees, vegetables, indigenous plants and more.
You can see them and ask questions of Guild members at The Ballarat Begonia Festival, 8th-10th March at the Ballarat Botanic Gardens.
